The Appeal announces new partnership

Mike Tomlinson is welcomed by Leeds City College Deputy Principal David Fell as the charity moves into its new premises at the college.

The Jane Tomlinson Appeal has relocated to a new home at the hub of Leeds City College's Horsforth Campus.

The Jane Tomlinson Appeal, responsible for organising the Run For All series, along with the recent additions Swim For All and Walk For All, has had a long standing relationship with the College receiving support from both staff and students alike with its calendar of events.

This year alone, the College had over 100 staff/students taking part in the Leeds 10K, key staff taking part in the inaugural Swim For All and will have a number of staff taking part and volunteering at the charities latest event the Yorkshire Dales Walking Festival in August.

Mike Tomlinson said: "One of our highlights over the last few years has been the growing relationship between us and Leeds City College. One of our core objectives is to provide opportunities to young people and promote sport and health lifestyle, so this matches perfectly. We hope that this is a  long standing partnership where both parties can work together to benefit the wider community."

Following a long standing relationship with the College over the past few years, the Appeal is proud to have solidified the partnership by moving its operations to the hub of the college.

David Fell, Deputy Principal at Leeds City College, said, "We are very proud that Mike and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal have decided to move their core operations to our Horsforth campus. We have been working with the charity for a number of year now and this relocation on to our college site consolidates what is already a very successful partnership."

"Mike and his team will be at the heart of Campus life, and we are delighted that they have agreed to enrich the lives of all our students by offering hands-on work experience, both with the charity (one of the largest in the regions), and the Run For All events. Mike will also be giving master-class lectures to our student about his experiences and the operations of the charity."
