Are you taking part in the Plunset Yorkshire Marathon?

A big - and quite natural - fear as most runners build up to a marathon is staying injury free in those vital last few weeks. You're also probably starting to think about your diet and nutrition and what changes could help in the build-up to the big day.

To answer some of those questions - and to help keep your training on track - we would like to invite our Appeal runners to our latest advice session which will focus on both of those key areas: injury prevention and nutrition.

Industry experts from the Coach House Physiotherapy Clinic - who have worked with Team GB and are the official physiotherapy partners of The Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon - will be on hand to share their knowledge and expertise. They'll also be there to answer those all-important questions and give you advice on any niggles you might be suffering.

Thursday 19th September - 6pm till 8pm
Coach House, Headingley, Leeds

Held at the Coach House Physiotherapy Clinic in Headingley, Leeds, this FREE evening will give you the chance to gain some vital information between now and race day.

 

On the night Oli Williamson,will be on hand to offer guidance on injury prevention. Oli currently works with UKA & England Athletics and will be talking you through his top tips for race day.

Debbie Furnley, a registered nutritionist with CSPC will also be presenting on the night, answering your questions on what to be eating in the last few weeks of training.

Places for the evening are limited and are expected to be much sought-after. To secure your place please email siobhan@janetomlinsonappeal.com, no later than Monday 16th September. Once you have booked your place, we'll send you further details. This event is only open to Appeal marathon runners.

Food and drink will be provided on the night for all guests, giving you a great opportunity to chat with your fellow Appeal team runners and share how your training is going.
