Aiming for £10,000 for the 10th Anniversary of the Leeds 10K

The Appeal has launched its Leeds 10K 10th anniversary campaign to raise funds as part of this milestone event. On 10th July 2016, thousands of runners will set of on the Run For All Leeds 10K for a fantastic run with an unrivalled atmosphere. This year's event will be even more significant than previous years, as it will be the 10th Leeds 10K since the event was launched by Jane Tomlinson.

Still regarded by many as the series' best 10K, the Leeds 10K has an unrivalled atmosphere and a fantastic community feel. Part of the event's magic is its status as the founding event of the Run For All Series, which now holds 6 10Ks, 2 Half Marathons and the Yorkshire Marathon. The Leeds 10K and the Run For All Series are Jane's fundraising legacy, as the events continue to raise amazing sums for charities and good causes across Yorkshire and beyond.

To mark the 10th anniversary of this incredible event, we've launched a 'Leeds 10K 10th Anniversary' campaign page on Just Giving. Runners can set up fundraising pages for the campaign or simply donate to the campaign via the page.

We're hoping to raise £10,000 for The Appeal to mark this brilliant milestone. All funds raised for The Appeal will help us to support children's and cancer charities across Yorkshire and beyond. We aim to continue Jane's inspirational fundraising legacy by proving vital grants to organisations working to improve the lives of those living with cancer.

The Leeds 10K is made special by the people who take part. Whether it's their first 10K or runners who return every year, the thousands of people who reach their goals, push their limits and inspire themselves to achieve are what makes the Leeds 10K a magical event.

Over the next few months, we'll be featuring stories of runners who've taken on the Leeds 10K over the last 10 years. If you've taken on every Leeds 10K or have an interesting story about a particular Leeds 10K then we want to hear from you!
