Former Leeds United defender Dominic Matteo is the latest sports personality to join the panel for an evening of fun, food and entertaining challenges at a sporting dinner with a difference being organised by the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
A hero to many Leeds fans who still chant his name thanks to a memorable Champions League goal he scored against AC Milan in the San Siro Stadium, Dominic will join fellow panellists former England full-back Danny Mills, Paralympian Hannah Cockroft and Leeds Rhinos legend Barrie McDermott for the Sporting Social at the Queens Hotel in Leeds on November 30.
Tickets, priced at £50 each or £450 for a table of 10, are available from the Appeal via firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0113 8267765.
Described as a playful, modern twist on the traditional sporting dinner, the event will be hosted by BBC Look North's Tanya Arnold and panellists will recall some of their career highlights, regale the audience with entertaining anecdotes and tackle a series of challenges that will push their sporting skills to the limit.
Dominic, who played for Leeds between 2000 and 2004, said: "It's going to be a great evening, raising money for a fantastic cause. Although I am not quite sure what I've got myself into, I think it could get very competitive."
Leeds Beckett University, a long-time supporter of the appeal, is sponsoring the event and students will be helping out throughout the evening.

Andrew Marran, the university's enterprise and commercialisation manager, said: "We are happy to say that we've been supporting this charity and its amazing work for a number of years, and are proud of the relationship between the two organisations."
Katie Bell, the appeal's fundraising manager, said: "We're thrilled that Dominic has joined the line-up for the Sporting Social and know he'll be a great draw for the many Leeds United fans out there!
"Leeds Beckett University's support over the years has been invaluable and it is fantastic to partner with them in this new event. This is the first event of its kind for the appeal but we are staying with our sporting roots and it is amazing to have the support of such a well-respected university within the Leeds sporting world.
"We want the evening to be informal and relaxed and there'll be no strict dress code. All you'll need is a sense of fun and an appetite to support such a fantastic cause."
The appeal, part of the legacy of the late inspirational Jane Tomlinson CBE, raises money to improve the lives of children and those affected by cancer.
