Building on the success of the Run For All 10K series based in Hull, York and Leeds, the Jane Tomlinson Appeal is proud and excited to link with Swim For All and Walk For All, a brand new set of mass participation events never seen before in Yorkshire. Swim For all, as part of the Yorkshire Swimming Festival, will take place on Sunday 10th July at Pugneys Country Park, Wakefield and will see swimmers take to the water in 500m or 1500m swims.
As the names suggest, swimmers of all abilities can take part in the race, which is partnered The Jane Tomlinson Appeal along with Diabetes UK, Scope, RNLI, Breast Cancer Campaign, Macmillan, Wakefield Hospice, The Children's Hospital Appeal, Bluebell Wood, Yorkshire cancer Research and Leeds Children's Hospital Appeal. With up to a 1000 people set to take part, you too can be part of the Yorkshire's first mass participation swimming event by registering at www.swimforall.com.
If taking to the waters isn't your thing and you'd much rather enjoy the dry and beautiful landscape that is the Yorkshire Dales then why not join our newly launched Walk For All.
Taking place on Sunday 14th August, the Yorkshire Dales Walking Festival is suitable for all abilities with a range of routes that span between a 26mile marathon walk, 14miles, 5miles and a 4.5 walk and wheel. The majority of the walks will start at Settle, taking you on a scenic tour through the unique limestone countryside, incorporating the stunning views of Malhamdale along the way.
