On Saturday the Appeal team were kindly invited to join the family and friends of Kerry Key for an evening of celebration and fundraising for the Kerry Key Foundaiton.
The Foundation was set up in memory of the incredible Kerry Key following her death in 2013 after a seven year battle with cancer. Kerry was a much loved supporter of the Appeal who was a determined advocate for many charities as well as the Appeal including HER Breast Friends, St Anne's Community Special School and Cancer Research to name but a few.
Kerry had taken on the challenge of the Hull 10K in 2012 completing the event in style along with her friend Rachel.
Since Kerry died her family and friends have gone on to take part in an array of events to raise money in her name including the Yorkshire Marathon and Hull 10K. The most recent of their challenges was a Coast to Coast cycle ride over 3 days where a team of cyclists travelled from Morecambe to Bridlington.
To date the Foundation has raised an incredible £30,000 and this week they made generous donations to Kerry's chosen charities.
The Appeal would like to thank all those who have raised money in Kerry's name and for the amazing donation of £5000. The Appeal will ensure that the money raised is spent in the local area.
