Champion cyclist Sir Chris Hoy has joined the cast of sports personalities taking part in a star-studded evening for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
Britain's joint most successful Olympian of all time will join a fantastic line up of sporting celebrities this September for the Sporting Social, which is being hosted by TV's Clare Balding.
The Sporting Social - back for a second year - will see sports personalities reminisce about their greatest moments, on and off the field.
The big names of cycling, rugby, football, athletics and cricket will also take on the audience in a fast-paced sports speed quiz to see if their brains match their brawn!
Sir Chris said: "Jane Tomlinson was a remarkable and inspirational woman who achieved things many professional athletes can only dream of. How she did that while contending with incurable cancer is just incredible.
"I'm thrilled that I can be a part of the Sporting Social and help to raise funds for Jane's charity, and in turn, help children be happier and healthier and improve the lives of people living with cancer.
"Come and join us for a fantastic evening."
Among other stars already scheduled to appear are five times gold medal Paralympian and 10 times world champion Hannah Cockroft and Leeds Rhinos, England and Great Britain rugby legend Kevin Sinfield.
Also announced are former Leeds United, Sheffield United and England footballer - and scorer of the Premier League's first ever goal - Brian Deane, former Leeds United and England defender Danny Mills, Leeds United, Liverpool and Scotland defender Dominic Matteo, and Clare Taylor, the first woman to have played in a football and cricket World Cup.
The Sporting Social takes place at the Royal Armouries Hall on Friday 28th September. Tickets are on sale now, and are already selling fast. Tickets are priced, £55 a head, or £500 for a table of 10, and include all entertainment, welcome reception drinks and a two-course dinner.
Funds raised will go to support the Appeal's work with children and people affected by cancer.
