Plusnet staff will be pulling their walking boots on this
Saturday to take part in a 36 mile or 18 mile charity walk to raise
funds for the Appeal.
Starting at 6am the team will set off from the Plusnet Leeds
office and conclude around 13 hours later at The Balance
Sheffield.
Chloe Snelson, Chair of the Plusnet Charity Committee "Whilst
planning the 36 mile route I don't think any of us were truly
aware of the size of the challenge that lay ahead of us. Although
we are all eager - with our walking boots at the ready, we know we
will be pushed to the limit especially after a 5am start! We're all
determined to finish the challenge and raise as much as possible
for the Appeal, Plusnet's Charity of The Year... Wish us
luck!"
The challenge will see participants pass through, Tingley,
Dewsbury & Ossett, Netherton, Midgley, Silkstone, Silkstone
Common, Thurgoland, Deepcar, Warncliffe Side and Oughtibridge
before reaching Sheffield city centre.
Jane Mooney, Fundraising Assitant said: " The support from the
Staff at Plusnet has been fantastic, that there are so many new
fundraisers taking part in the challenging walk from Leeds to
Sheffield shows how much everyone has got behind the Charity of the
Year partnership. The Appeal would like to wish everyone
taking part in the walk the best of luck and ask anyone who passes
them on their journey to give them a wave"
