The Appeal is extremely fortunate and grateful to have the support of a number of high-profile patrons, who have been inspired by Jane’s story.
BAFTA-winning Clare Balding OBE is one of the county’s most-respected journalists and broadcasters. She is a patron of the Appeal and hosts our annual Sporting Social.
Our record-breaking patron Hannah Cockroft MBE is a five times gold medallist Paralympic wheelchair athlete who triumphed at both London and Rio.
A patron of the Appeal, Paula Radcliffe MBE is the fastest female marathoner of all time and has held the Women’s World Marathon Record in a time of 2:15:25 since 2003.
Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson
One of the Britain's most successful disabled athletes with 16 Paralympic medals, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson is a long-time patron of the Appeal.
Patron Eleanor Oldroyd has a voice known to millions as a sports reporter and presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live. She describes being ‘blown away’ by Jane’s spirit.
Former Leeds United, Manchester City and England defender, turned football commentator, Danny is a huge supporter and ambassador for the Appeal.
Barrie McDermott, who played for Leeds Rhinos and Great Britain, is an ambassador for the Appeal and has pulled on his running shoes to represent us many times.
